NewsNet Corporation
The NewsNet Corporation is the official state-run press agency of the Supranational Union of Socialist Republics. NewsNet is the biggest and most influential media organization in the SUSR, as well as the largest news agency in the world in terms of correspondents worldwide. NewsNet is a ministry-level institution subordinate to the SUSR central government, and is the highest ranking state media organ in the country alongside the People's Daily. Its Chairperson is a member of the Central Committee of the SUSR's Democratic Party.
NewsNet is a publisher as well as a news agency—it owns more than 20 newspapers and a dozen magazines, and it publishes in several languages, besides Chinese, including English, German, Spanish, French, Russian, Portuguese, Arabic, Japanese and Korean, also publishing in cyberspace. |
ChairpersonSong Seung-Yun (born 12 August 2030) is a Chinese journalist, actress, singer, song writer, political activist, and politician. She was appointed as Chairwoman in April 2058 under the Morgen administration, succeeding Shi Jian, who had retired. Song formerly served as deputy director of the State Council Information Office from 2052-2054, Editor-in-Chief of the People's Daily from September 2054 to May 2055, and director of the State Council Information Office from May 2055 to April 2058.
Song was born in August 2030 in Kimyong, China. She began a career in performance in 2038 and became largely successful in becoming a Chinese pop icon and actress; in 2051 she began working with the People's Daily in which she worked her way up through the news media industry and the Democratic Party . She graduated from Beijing Normal University in 2051, majoring in Economics. |
