Any attempt to cut off the flow of capital, goods, and people between economies, and channel the waters into the ocean back into isolated lakes and creeks is simply not possible.

Vice Chairman Lev Bronshtein
Miscellaneous
The naming system of the Supranational Union is quite different when compared with the United States or NATO countries. This is due to their culture of a "socialist family" in which children are either given their father's or mother's surname at birth depending on their gender rather than having it default to the man. However, in Iceland the system is changed a bit in order to coincide with Icelandic culture in that surnames are a combination of either the father's or mothers forename and either the inclusion of "son" or "dottir" depending on the child's gender at birth.

The legal ownership of firearms is both a well protected right and mandatory for all citizens of the Supranational Union. This policy has been law since 24 May 2061 with the signing of the "Stand Your Ground" law under the Song administration in order to combat crime and have smaller republics be able to defend themselves from NATO invasion. Before this passed the SUSR was subjected to the "Gun Control Act of 2044" under the Salas administration and the more lenient "Gun Control Act of 2051".
